Lightweights Yves Edwards and Rafaello Oliveira booked for UFC on Versus 6 bout

The UFC has added another fight to the UFC on Versus 6 card this October, as lightweights Yves Edwards and Rafaello Oliveira will square off on the card.

Edwards gets back into the cage for the first time since suffering one of the most brutal losses of his MMA career in June. Taking on Sam Stout at UFC 131 in Vancouver last month, Edwards was knocked out cold by a vicious counter left, leaving him unconscious for several scary moments. The loss snapped a three fight winning streak that included two fights in the Octagon since making his return.

Oliveira returned to the organization in May after four fights away from the UFC, but while he picked up wins in all of those fights, he failed to do so in the Octagon. Oliveira's overall UFC record was sent to just 1-3, as he was submitted by Gleison Tibau at UFC 130.

UFC on Versus 6 takes place from the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. on October 1, headlined by a Bantamweight Championship fight between Dominick Cruz and Demetrious Johnson.

Penick's Analysis: Edwards will have more leeway should he lost a second straight fight here, but Oliveira will more than likely be on his way out if he loses this fight. A 1-4 mark in the Octagon is not likely to keep you on the roster. As for the fight itself, it should make for a solid preliminary card fight for a free event, and with Edwards involved it should definitely be entertaining.

UFC signs undefeated British heavyweight Philip De Fries for UFC 138 bout in England

By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

The UFC continues to fill up their November return to England with British talent, and according to multiple published reports, they've added an undefeated British heavyweight fighter to the mix for UFC 138.

25-year-old Philip De Fries announced via his Facebook page that he has signed a multi-fight agreement with the UFC, and according to reports the 7-0 fighter will debut on the UFC 138 card.

No opponent has yet been set for De Fries, but he'll likely be on the preliminary card portion of the event, coming November 5 from the LG Arena in Birmingham.

De Fries has won all seven of his fights by submission, six of which have come in the first round and five of which have come by rear naked choke. All seven fights have taken place over the last two years.

UFC 138 is headlined by a middleweight bout between Chris Leben and Mark Munoz, and airs in the U.S. via same day delay on Spike TV.

Penick's Analysis: The UFC can always use more heavyweight fighters, and an undefeated British prospect the likes of De Fries is a good addition. With serious submission skills and stopping all of his opponents, De Fries could come in and make an impression right away against the right level of opponent. I'll be interested to see who the UFC matches him up against in his debut, and either way I'll be looking forward to seeing how he performs in the Octagon.

Rosholt fighting his way back to UFC at Shark Fights 17? Rodriguez off and then back on card

Because of the high injury rate in mixed martial arts, the UFC is always looking for reinforcements. Jake Rosholt wants to be one of those guys.

The former NCAA Div. I wrestling champ at Oklahoma State was released by the promotion in 2010. Tonight, he takes on veteran Matt Horwich. Rosholt is 4-1 with a no contest since his departure, but that loss came against Horwich.

"[I take] nothing away from Horwich; he whipped my ass last time," Rosholt recently told MMAjunkie. "But it's going to be a completely different fight. I'm going in with a different mindset, just a different swagger, and I got a lot of confidence right now. I'm fighting good, and it's going to take a hell of a man to stop me."

Rosholt (11-3, 1 NC, 1-2 UFC) wants back in with the major leagues.

"I don't see why not (if) I go out there and put on a good performance," he said. "This would be like six wins in a row against a tough guy ? a guy that's beat me before ? so it's the first hurdle that I've had to jump in my career. It'll be a great test for me and damn sure a big stepping stone to get myself back in the UFC."

The card in Frisco, Tx. airing tonight on HDNet (9 p.m. ET) also includes former UFC heavyweight champ Ricco Rodriguez. This news comes after a wacky 24 hours where Rodriguez pulled out of his original bout. Rodriguez was booked for a 230-pound catchweight fight. The slimmed down Rodriguez, weighing just 227 pounds, watched his opponent come in at 253. Shark Fights found a late replacement in Doug Williams.

Evanescence's Amy Lee Reveals Tour Plans

Band will tour U.S. and Europe in October, singer tells MTV News.

Evanescence's self-titled album isn't due in stores until October 11, but that hasn't stopped the band from giving fans a preview of what they can expect to hear on the disc — or, you know, threepreviews: first single "What You Want," the booming "The Other Side" and the epic, ethereal "Lost in Paradise" — or from lining up a handful of early tour dates in support of the album.

So far, Amy Lee and Co. have committed to a one-off show in Nashville, Tennessee, on August 17, a pair of big-ticket gigs in Brazil and Puerto Rico in October and a run of concerts in the U.K. in November. That leaves a rather sizeable hole right around the time of the album's release — one the band plan to fill very quickly, Lee told MTV News.

"We'll be touring the U.S. and Europe in October. It's not all [confirmed], but it's going to happen," she said. "We're doing Rock in Rio on the 2nd, and then I think Puerto Rico, and that's going to be awesome, because we've never played [there]. ... That's the beginning of the tour; the tour will start there, we'll come back to the States, do a few weeks in the bigger cities, and then go do the same thing in Europe, and then the next thing will happen."

So just when will the full slate of Evanescence tour dates be revealed? Soon. A spokesperson for the band's label, Wind-Up Records, told MTV News the band will begin announcing dates in two weeks, something Lee seemed to confirm Thursday when she took to Twitter to let her fans know the wait is almost over.

"Guys, the tour dates that have been announced are only the beginning!" she wrote. "Don't be sad if you don't see a date in your town yet! We're coming!"

Housing is considered by many economists to be the single largest drag on the American economy.Perhaps the most powerful argument that the recession never ended or that a new one has begun is the persistence of unemployment, with 14 million people out of work.
