Its inevitable arrival, however, does not mean that all is lost. Vigilance on the part of citrus tree caretakers, be they backyard gardeners or commercial growers, could make a significant difference in the progress of this citrus epidemic, known by the name of yellow shoot disease. Yellow shoot disease is a bacterial disorder that is spread by a psyllid (SILL-id) insect from Asia.
