Justin Bieber issued a proud declaration from his Twitter page: "SHAWTY MANE!! I'M BACK!" Bieber, whose MC name is Shawty Mane, appears on Chris Brown's Boy in Detention mixtape rapping on the track "Ladies Love Me."

Brown dropped the mixtape just in time for the weekend on his website, and the Bieber track samples Brown's "Look at Me Now." It was produced by David Banner.

Breezy shows off his signature bad-boy swagger, rapping about all his riches. "My bad/ I'm sorry/ I'm double-parked/ Yeah, that's my Bugatti/ And that's my Ferrari/ Next to my Ducati," he raps. "Man, my house so big take the escalator to the elevator/ Take the elevator to the private and then I jet," goes another verse.

The pals swap verses with the funky beat from "Look at Me Now" behind them. Bieber shows off his own lover-boy swag with lyrics like, "Baby, I'm your doctor/ I could be your rocker/ Swaggin', I'm not braggin' but I swear that I could rock ya, baby/ I'm not crazy/ I got swag like Patrick Swayze."

Bieber and Brown were spotted in the studio last month, and many fans were wondering what they were up to. This release marks Brown's first-ever rap mixtape release. In addition to Bieber, it features appearances from Tyga, Dawn Richard, Wiz Khalifa, Swizz Beatz and Kevin McCall, to name a few. 9th Wonder, DJ Chuckie and No I.D. are a few of the producers who get credits on the mixtape.

This isn't Bieber's first foray into the world of rapping. He rapped on the Sean Kingston track "Won't Stop" and spit some rhymes as Shawty Mane in a Twitter video he posted last year.

It's also a big month for Brown, who's up for several Moonmen at the MTV Video Music Awards later this month. He's nominated for his frantic Chris Tilley-directed video for "Look at Me Now." Brown is also slated to perform at the show.

Zoe Saldana COVERS The September Issues Of "WOMEN's HEALTH" & "LATINA" Magazines, Discusses Near-Nervous Breakdown

Zoe Saldana is a busy lady.  The YBF chick is promoting her new high-energy thriller Colombiana and covers both WOMEN'S HEALTH and LATINA this month.  Get the deets and highlights from the articles inside and find out about her near-nervous breakdown.....

Zoe Saldana graces the cover of the September issue of Women's Health (on newsstands August 9) and opens up about getting into sick shape for Colombiana and working with some of the hottest men in Hollywood.  Here are some highlights....

On her action-packed roles like Cataleya in the upcoming
Colombiana...

"Physical roles give me a chance to learn something new. Like the fact
that I can grab a gun, disassemble it, and put it back together. I'm a
girl from Queens. I've never gone, 'What am I doing today? Oh, I'm gonna
grab a gun and learn how to use it.'"

On dressing according to themes...
"I'm always referencing. If I'm listening to some old songs from Whitney
Houston, I might put some spandex stuff together."

On her midnight tattoo sprees...

"We woke up the next morning and were like, 'That totally [bleepin']
happened!'"

On her Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
co-star Orlando Bloom...

"Orli is a real English gentleman. He can hang out with girls in the
same way that he can hold his own with a bunch of guys."

On her Guess Who co-star Ashton Kutcher..
"He's so talented at conceiving ideas. And the initiative! We have
similar personalities: neurotic. Up, down, here, there, and everywhere!"

Also on magazine racks.......

Zoe's covering the latest issue of Latina Magazine (on newsstands August 16) where she shockingly admits that after starring in Avatar, the highest grossing film of all-time, she nearly had a nervous breakdown.  See the highlights....

On dealing with her newfound fame:

“The year after Avatar was just emotionally overwhelming. I was traveling all over the world, waking up in different time zones. Your body gets exhausted, and by the end of the year I just collapsed.”

On coming close to a total breakdown:

“I was in Paris training for Colombiana, sitting in my hotel room, and I couldn’t stop crying. I couldn’t stay awake. I must have slept for an entire month. It took me the rest of the year, even as I was working and shooting Colombiana, to pick myself up. Thank God my family was there.”

On the post-Avatar effect:

“I just want the best filmmakers in the world to tell me, ‘You’re good, kid, you’re legit.’ The recognition will never get old, and I’ll never get accustomed to it. I don’t ever want to, because that will mean I’m taking it for granted. That’s why I work, not for the luxuries or the awards.”

On the simple joys of life:

“I just stay at home and do absolutely nothing. When I was younger, that would have made me feel like such a failure. Now that I’m older, I know what it means to shut down. I don’t shower if I don’t want to. I don’t answer e-mails. It’s a healthy way of being selfish. You know you’re old when gardening, the Food Network and voice notes from your nieces and nephews blow your mind.”

On her small circle of friends:

“If you surround yourself with good people, if you’re having a bad day – which everyone does – they will protect you, and it will never reach any kind of surface. But if you surround yourself with people who don’t really love you and care for you, they’ll be the first ones to expose you. That’s dangerous.”

On the key to her 12-year relationship with actor Keith Britton:

“I think the only reason we’ve made it this long is because we don’t listen to anybody but ourselves. We’ve still managed to sustain a relationship in a world where half of the people we know are divorcing or going through problems. It’s like that song we both love by Frank Sinatra – we did it our way!”

Interesting.  Zoe and Keith are also now engaged.

Jay-Z, Kanye West's Throne Defies Radio Rules

While lacking conventional single, Watch the Throne tracks 'Lift Off,' 'No Church in the Wild' and 'N---as in Paris' trend on Twitter.

Nothing Jay-Z and Kanye West have done leading up to Monday's release of Watch the Throne has been conventional. While most rap artists look to impact radio with a big crossover single before they drop their album, the Throne handled things a bit differently.

Yes, there was the release of the Lex Luger-produced "H.A.M.," which now stands as a bonus track on the deluxe version of WTT. Then there was "Otis" of course, but with no catchy chorus, the Redding-sampled track hardly screams crossover. Shade 45 DJ Statik Selektah said he doesn't think Jay and Kanye still need to conform to radio — he actually believes the opposite: "I think Jay and Kanye could put out an a cappella song and it'll get played," the DJ told MTV News.

Check out our photos of Jay and Kanye recording Watch the Throne.

Sucker Free and Power 105.1's DJ Envy agrees. While "Otis" doesn't fit the exact formula for a hit, Envy said radio has picked it up for one simple reason: It's a good record. "The first single, 'Otis,' if you wanna call it a single, it's not a radio record but it's been added on so many different radio stations, which I think is dope," he said. "You still play it in the club, and it's a hot record."

Because of their respective musical accomplishments, Hot 97's DJ Kast One said the Throne are the exceptions to the radio rule. "They're in a different type of space: It's Jay-Z and Kanye — they're arguably two of the biggest rappers, I wanna say, ever," he said.

Shade 45's DJ Wonder echoed that sentiment: "With Jay-Z and Kanye, they're so iconic that it's not going to make a difference what they decided to do; people are gonna want it."

It's not that Watch the Throne has a shortage of likeable records. Since its release Monday, songs like "Lift Off," "No Church in the Wild" and "N---as in Paris" have all become trending topics on Twitter.

Conventional wisdom says that Watch the Throne will eventually produce a number of records for radio, but it doesn't seem that Hov and Yeezy necessarily planned for that while recording the album. DJ Khaled argues that when artists go in with the aim of recording for radio, they end up losing authenticity. "I think people that go in the studio saying, 'I'm making a radio record' is when they start goin' in the wrong direction. It's called, make a great record," he said. "When you start thinking, 'Oh, I should put a little sprinkle and make it radio,' sometimes that hurts you because it's not authentic."

Phan fighting to break Asian stereotypes

Nam Phan admits he's a bit of a nerd, but he wasn't about to follow the traditional path that many Asians follow when they come to the U.S. Phan hated school, but wasn't a bad kid. That's when he turned to martial arts.

"You have to understand that where I grew up, living like a tough guy was attractive at the time," Phan told Bernard Fernandez of the Philadelphia Daily News. "Girls like bad boys, right? But I guess that's why I never got girls because I was the nerdy one. My brothers were much older than me and while they were going clubbing, I was always home alone. They never knew that while they were out, they stressed my parents out. I said right then, 'I am not going to do that, I am just going to do martial arts.' "

Phan's parents arrived in the U.S. in 1975 settling in Orange County. The 28-year-old says that California county is a little rougher than what you've see on television.

"I want to specify the northern part of Orange County, not the cushy one you see with all the surfers and girls in bikinis on MTV," Phan said. "They got [to America] and thought they were going to be safe and then my dad gets shot standing outside of a jewelry store and both of my brothers, Tan [34] and Khanh [32] have been victims of drive-by shootings . . . I've always thought that if there were more role models, there would be less crime."

By turning to athletics, Phan bucked what he says has become the traditional Asian path in the U.S.

"Look, man, it's a fact that people look at Asians in this country and they know we can excel as a lawyer or a doctor - but physically we aren't that gifted," Phan said in a phone interview Monday. "There are very few top Asian athletes, singers and actors, but mainly because there is so much pressure from family to be engineers and doctors."

Phan has a chance to jump to the next level at featherweight when he faces former 145-pound champ Mike Brown this weekend at UFC 133. Phan is the first Vietnamese-American to fight under the UFC banner.
